Shekhawati is a semi-arid historical region located in the northeast part of Rajasthan. Shekhawati is located in North Rajasthan comprising districts like Jhunjhunu, Sikar, Churu and Nagaur. The towns of the Shekhawati region are known for their fresco painted havelis. This region has also been recognised as the "Open art gallery of Rajasthan", having the largest concentration of frescoes in the world. Most of the buildings of the Shekhawati region were constructed during 18th century to early 20th century. The havelis are noted for their frescoes depicting mythological and historical themes. The frescos include images of gods, goddesses, animals, life history of Lords Rama and Krishna, profusely painted on the havelis in this region, both the exteriors and interiors.

Some of the havelis have been restored and converted to hotels, offering a unique experience for the traveler.

Presently Shekhawati, is the most favorite tourist destination for those visiting India to experience this heritage rich territory.     Jaipur Arrival

    Our driver will pick you up from airport / railway station and transfer to hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Free for your own activities. Stay overnight at hotel in Jaipur.

    Full-day Jaipur Sightseeing Tour

    After breakfast proceed for a city sightseeing tour of Jaipur, visit the massive Amber Fort, Located on a hill named Cheel Ka Teel, this majestic fort is one of the top attractions in Jaipur. The architectural style of the fort is a blend of Mughal and Rajput architecture. Jal Mahal, a five storey palace in the middle of the Man Sagar Lake. The City Palace, most beautiful complex of courtyards, gardens, temples and palaces. Hawa Mahal, made for royal Rajput ladies to observe the markets and daily life. Jantar Mantar, the instruments allow the observation of astronomical positions with the naked eye. The observatory is an example of the Ptolemaic positional astronomy which was shared by many civilizations. The Albert Hall Museum, also known as Central Museum is one of the most visited tourist destination of Jaipur. Laxmi Narayan Temple or Birla Mandir is a Hindu temple devoted to goddess Laxmi and god Vishnu. After visiting all places, will get back to hotel. Stay overnight at hotel.

    Jaipur - Mandawa - Nawalgarh

    After breakfast, proceed to Mandawa (170 kms / 3-4 hours), situated in Shekhawati, Rajasthan. Upon arrival at Mandawa, our tour representative meets you and assists you to the hotel for check-in. Later, visit Mandawa Fort, Hanuman Prasad Goenka Haveli, Gulab Rai Ladia Haveli and Murmuria Haveli etc.

    In afternoon head towards Nawalgarh (30 kms / 60-90 miutes), a small town almost at the very centre of the Shekhawati region visit Nawalgarh Fort, Roop Niwas Palace, Anandi Lal Podar Haveli etc.

    Return back to Mandwa and stay overnight at hotel.

    Mandawa - Fatehpur Shekhawati – Laxmangarh - Jaipur

    After an early breakfast, drive to Fatehpur town of Shekhawati region (25 kms / 60 minutes). Fatehpur is famous for grand havelis with frescos, which is speciality of the Shekhawati region. A number of Bawdis are also centres of attraction here. Explore Nadine Le Prince Haveli, Qureshi Farm, The Jagannath Singhania Haveli, Goenka Haveli and The Dwarkadheesh Temple etc.

    Later, proceed towards Laxmangarh (24 kms / 60 minutes), Laxmangarh is a popular tourist destination in Rajasthan. It is home to the grand Laxmangarh fort and small mansions with frescos and deities on walls. Laxmangarh fort was built on the hill in 1862 by Laxman Singh, Rao Raja of Sikar.

    After visiting the most famous tourist destinations of Shekhawati region. Now It's time to conclude the tour and collect all the beautiful places, Haveli architecture and Fresco paintings. Head towards Jaipur. Upon arrival, our driver will drop you at your preferred location in Jaipur.
